Brendan Michael Harris…1998 graduate of Queensbury (NY) High School where he played baseball and basketball…2002 graduate of the College of William and Mary where he majored in Political Science and minored in Business…he set single season school records for home runs (18), rbi (69) and slugging percentage (.757).

2008 Highlights

Hit safely in six consecutive games, going 9-for-21 (.429), April 3-12…hit first home run as a Twin, April 20 vs. Cleveland…hit safely in 9 of 11 games, May 15-28…six-game hit-streak, June 2-9…career-high 10-game hit-streak from June 18-June 28, hitting .328 (13-for-34) with two home runs during that stretch…hit safely in 17 of 19 games from June 18-July 10…homered in consecutive games, June 24-25 at San Diego with one being a go-ahead homer in the top of the ninth off Trevor Hoffman on June 24…tied a season-high with three hits on July 12 at Detroit, collecting three rbi…hit .294 (20-for-68) with 13 rbi and an on-base percentage of .355 in 21 July games…hit safely in six of seven games from July 31-August 6 with five multi-hit games and six doubles…matched a season-high with three runs scored as he went 2-for-4 with a home run and a walk, September 13 (game 2) at Baltimore…tied career-high with three triples on the season…ranked third on the team in doubles with 29…played all four infield positions including making 37 starts at second base, 51 at shortstop and 27 at third base.


June 5, 2001: Drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 5th round of the 2001 amateur draft. Player signed July 21, 2001.

July 31, 2004: Traded as part of a 4-team trade by the Chicago Cubs with Francis Beltran and Alex Gonzalez to the Montreal Expos. The Boston Red Sox sent Nomar Garciaparra and Matt Murton to the Chicago Cubs. The Minnesota Twins sent Doug Mientkiewicz to the Boston Red Sox. The Montreal Expos sent Orlando Cabrera to the Boston Red Sox. The Chicago Cubs sent Justin Jones (minors) to the Minnesota Twins.

July 13, 2006: Traded by the Washington Nationals with Bill Bray, Royce Clayton, Gary Majewski and Daryl Thompson to the Cincinnati Reds for Austin Kearns, Felipe Lopez and Ryan Wagner.

January 2, 2007: Sent to the Tampa Bay Devil Rays by the Cincinnati Reds as part of a conditional deal.

November 28, 2007: Traded by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays with Jason Pridie and Delmon Young to the Minnesota Twins for Eduardo Morlan (minors), Jason Bartlett and Matt Garza
